The Celeste community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Jason Tanner Minter, affectionately known as “Tanner,” who passed away on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at the age of 20. His death has left his family, friends, former teammates and the wider community grieving the loss of a young man remembered for his loyalty, kindness and remarkable dedication.

Jason Tanner Minter died from injuries sustained in a devastating car accident in Greenville, Texas. According to statements shared by his family, the collision involved another motorist who was allegedly driving at a high rate of speed while heavily intoxicated. His family said the impact was so severe that Tanner was killed immediately.
